Oh it's coming back, is it?



I've never seen past the first act of Giselle for some reason. It used to be screened on the ABC when I was younger, and I always got sent to bed at intermission. Thus it is one of my life's missions to see how it ends.

LOL!! The second act is better. There are vengeful ghosts. It's all very Romantic (in the sense of the Romantic period) and involves graves, white tutus and atmospheric stage smoke. I'm going on the 15th, can't wait. Haven't seen the Australian Ballet's production before.

I watched it several times as a child - also in the theatre - and never really got it till I read your summary.

The funniest Giselle experience I ever had (also my first) was when my cousin and I got last-minute tickets in Moscow and didn't have a chance to buy a program. She promptly made up a story and kept it up as a running commentary.
